SENSES : IGNITE
Our exclusive early learning curriculum soars well beyond the ABC’s and 123’s to engage children in hands-on, interactive learning environments and experiences that will prepare them with the skills they need to perform the jobs of the future.
Research shows that well before a child can walk and talk, they experience the world around them using their senses - sight, sound, smell, touch and taste. It is for this reason that Senses ELC has created an early learning experience where children can engage in multi-sensory experiences, in a sensory-rich environment, where play is the order of the day.
We know that early childhood is a significant and wondrous time. We are committed to honouring this and integrating a sense of wonder, fun, curiosity and play into everything we do.
The Senses : Ignite curriculum has been developed by our Head of Education, Rebecca Watson. Rebecca has more than 20 years' experience in the early childhood profession as a teacher as well as expertise in developing curriculum for very young children. She was a participating member of the consortium responsible for the development and writing of the National Early Years Learning Framework and is now leading the Senses ELC team.
The curriculum is underpinned by 4 core principles - Communication, Creativity, Critical Thinking and Collaboration that influence and guide our 5 curriculum areas - Authors, Artists, Scientists, Environmentalists and Explorers.
